Engineered stone or compound stone are surface materials made by binding sands or grits of different aggregates-such as quartz, marble, granite-with resin, cement or geo-polymer.

Engineered stone is generally divided—into quartz stone, artificial granite, inorganic artificial stone, etc.—according to the different production materials used.
